CONCEPTUAL
FRAMEWORK.
Situated in Firozabad, a city shaped by its glass and handicraft legacy, the project engages a diverse community of artisans through a cohesive framework of making, display, and exchange. The programme is articulated as a series of interconnected spaces, where production areas, exhibition zones, and learning environments are woven into a continuous spatial flow.
The centre functions as both a place of work and a point of interaction, bringing the processes of craft into direct public engagement. Visitors move through stages of observation, understanding, and participation, allowing the act of making to unfold as an immersive and evolving experience.
Envisioned as a cultural and economic catalyst, the intervention strengthens local craft practices while extending their reach. Through a deliberate organization of space and programme, it establishes a setting where tradition is sustained, reinterpreted, and carried forward within a contemporary framework.
